This photo by Lisa Rosenthal of North Bondi, NSW, is the winning entry in our summer holiday photo competition.

It was taken on Brampton Island in the Whitsundays in December 2007.

As Lisa lay sunbathing on a hammock during a three-day holiday, she thought that a photo featuring her feet against a backdrop of the beach would make a nice photograph.

The judges and ajn.com.au readers agreed and Lisa has won a holiday at the Gold Coast’s luxurious Palazzo Versace hotel.

Lisa, a corporate trainer, said the holiday on Brampton Island proved to be very relaxing.

“I enjoy taking photos, but I am very selective in what I take and think about the shot,” she said.

“As I was laying in the hammock the setting looked so pretty and I thought it would make a nice photo.”

Now Lisa can look forward to another holiday on the Gold Coast staying at the five-star Palazzo Versace hotel.

Andrea Esterman of East St Kilda, who voted for the winning photo in our online competition, is the winner of a holiday at the Sea Temple Resort and Spa in Palm Cove, northern Queensland.
